Horrific Accident in Gegharkunik: Pedestrian's Body Dismembered

On August 2, a fatal accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. At around 20:30, 64-year-old Rafael Badalyan, a resident of Tavush Province, struck a pedestrian while driving his Mercedes on the 62nd km section of the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, heading towards Sevan. The pedestrian, 38-year-old Gayane Pilosyan, was a resident of Gegharkunik.

As reported by Shamshyan.com, the body of the struck individual was dismembered. Rescue workers retrieved the body parts from the scene, while paramedics from the Sevan hospital collected the remains from the road.

A criminal case has been initiated based on the relevant features of Article 224, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. By the investigator's order, the vehicle has been moved to a special secured area of the Sevan police department.
