Photos: Armenia's Delegation Enters the Tokyo 2020 Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the 32nd Summer Olympic Games has commenced in Tokyo, Japan, held without spectators due to pandemic-related restrictions. The Armenian delegation participated in the parade at the Tokyo Olympic Stadium.
The flag bearers for Armenia were swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan and boxer Hovhannes Bachkov. Armenia's team entered the parade 12th among 206 delegations participating in the event. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian was also present in the stands.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, delegations are not participating with their full teams. Among the world leaders present at the ceremony is only French President Emmanuel Macron.
