We Will Kill You Everywhere: Details from the Victim of the Azerbaijani Attack

Protests by Armenians in Moscow continue almost daily. Members of the Armenian community and other citizens of the Russian Federation are demanding the return of Armenian prisoners in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, as well as compliance from Russia with its obligations to ensure the conditions for cessation of hostilities.

Armenian activist Ashot Sargsyan, who fell victim to a local Azerbaijani nationalist during a protest, shared details of the incident with Infoteka24. Footage of Sargsyan being assaulted has surfaced online, provoking outrage among Armenians and Russians alike. However, law enforcement officials initially refused to initiate a criminal case. Eventually, after media outcry, they were forced to open an investigation.

When asked how the attack occurred, Sargsyan stated: "An unknown person approached me and sharply asked what was written there. I replied that it was in Russian and asked if he spoke the language. The young man responded, 'Take your poster, leave here, and never stand here again.' I pleaded with him not to escalate and to walk away. He shoved me sharply, saying, 'We will kill you Armenians everywhere,' and followed it up with punches to my head along with the words 'Allahu Akbar.' Shortly after, law enforcement arrived, took him away, and then released him."
