Photos: Major Car Accident-Fire Near Dilijan Tunnel, Vehicle Reduced to Ashes

Today, on July 16, a major car accident-fire occurred in the Gegharkunik province. Around 2:50 PM, a GAZelle truck on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway, just after exiting the Dilijan tunnel and heading towards Yerevan, veered off the main roadway, collided with iron guardrails, and partially ended up in a ravine.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamsyan, as a result of the accident, two individuals with varying degrees of burns were transported to the 'Sevan' medical center, as a fire erupted in the vehicle following the collision.

The injured were subsequently transferred from the Sevan medical center to Yerevan, with one in extremely serious condition and the other in serious but stable condition. The police are investigating the identities of the driver and the injured. The vehicle has been reduced to a pile of ash.
