New Details About the Tragic Car Accident in Armavir Region
According to the decision made by David Baroyan, the head of the investigative division of the Armavir regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, three fatalities in the tragic car accident that occurred in Armavir region on July 14 were identified within the framework of the criminal case initiated by senior investigator Khanoyan.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it has been determined that the Toyota was driven by 21-year-old Samvel Avetyan, a resident of Ejmiadzin, who died at the scene. The Samand vehicle was operated by 38-year-old Gurgen Yeghiazaryan, a resident of Jrarat village, who worked in the Police Protection Department of the Main Department of the Police of Armenia in Vagharshapat. His passenger, 32-year-old Narek Asatryan, was also employed in the same protection department.
Both Gurgen Yeghiazaryan and Narek Asatryan also died at the scene. Earlier, Gagik Shamshyan reported from the scene that on July 14, a tragic car accident took place in Armavir region. Around 21:00, under unknown circumstances, a collision occurred between the Samand and Toyota Vitz vehicles on the roadway in the administrative territory of Pteghunk village. As a result of the accident, three individuals died at the scene.
