Mercedes Sprinter Carrying Students in Accident in Armavir Region

A traffic accident occurred in the Armavir region a short while ago. Around 22:10, on the 22nd km section of the Yerevan-Armavir highway, a collision took place between a VAZ 2106 driven by 37-year-old Hayk Aleksanyan and a Mercedes Sprinter minibus driven by 45-year-old Hayk Safaryan.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, fortunately, no injuries have been reported following the accident, as per preliminary information.

Officers from the 1st platoon of the 2nd police battalion promptly arrived at the scene. The investigative work at the site is being led by investigator Garik Kohanyan from the same platoon, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, there were about 20 children aboard the Mercedes Sprinter, who attend various schools in Ejmiadzin and were returning from Ashtarak Gorge, where they had gone for leisure.
