Incident Recorded on Armenian-Azerbaijani Border: Casualty Confirmed

On the morning of July 14, around 10:30 AM, an incident occurred in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Azerbaijani Armed Forces units attempted to conduct construction works using engineering equipment with the aim of advancing their combat positions.

Following the Armenian side's reactive actions aimed at halting these works, Azerbaijani servicemen opened targeted fire towards Armenian positions. As a result of the ensuing gunfire exchange, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia sustained fatal gunshot wounds. There are also reported casualties on the Azerbaijani side.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia strongly condemns this latest provocation from the Azerbaijani side and warns that such actions will be met with a firm response. The entire responsibility for further escalation of the situation lies with the Azerbaijani military-political leadership.
