Is Nagorno-Karabakh Ours or Yours? Incident in Batumi Leaves Armenian Teen Hospitalized
On July 3 in Batumi, a resident of the village of Goman in Akhalkalaki was stabbed during an incident. Martunik Ustyan, a minor and a tenth-grade student, sustained a severe abdominal injury and was hospitalized for surgery. Currently, the teenager's condition is stable, according to aliq.ge.
Residents of Akhalkalaki reported that during the incident, a group approached Armenians in Batumi, chanting, "Is Nagorno-Karabakh ours or yours?" likely identifying as Azerbaijanis. According to the residents of Goman, a police officer intervened during the altercation and was also injured, necessitating hospitalization.
As per our information, one individual has been taken into custody in connection with the stabbing of the teenager from Goman. Alik Media attempted to clarify details with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia; however, they declined to provide official information.
