SPORT. Euro 2020. Italy eliminated Belgium to advance to the semifinals

In the second quarterfinal match of Euro 2020, the Italian national team defeated Belgium 2-1, advancing to the semifinals of the tournament.

The scoring began with Italy taking the lead in the 31st minute when Nicolò Barella found the back of the net, beating Belgium's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Italy doubled their advantage in the 44th minute with a goal from Lorenzo Insigne.

Belgium's forward Romelu Lukaku managed to reduce the deficit with a successful penalty kick, but the Belgian players could not achieve more.

In the semifinals, Italy will compete for a chance to reach the final against Spain. The next quarterfinal matches will take place on July 3rd, with the Czech Republic facing Denmark and Ukraine facing England.
