‘Pashinyan said, I am in a hurry, I have no time’: Relatives of missing soldiers are outraged, will address Muradov

Pashinyan categorically rejected Boris Avagyan's participation in the newly formed commission, while stating that other questions should be discussed with his aides, said Yeghishe Zakunts, a relative of a missing soldier, revealing the details of the recent meeting with Pashinyan.

Recall that during the 44-day war, the relatives of missing soldiers held a protest on June 28 in front of the government building and met with acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again, but to no avail.

“Pashinyan said, I am in a hurry, I have no time. He then suggested to continue the discussion with his aides. We suggested creating a commission, involving three parents, including former Deputy Director of the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh Boris Avagyan, as a competent person who has connections with General Muradov. Pashinyan categorically rejected this. Our demand to create a commission was that it should operate and take some actions; it became clear to us that creating a commission in their proposed format made no sense. Our desire was for Boris Avagyan to be involved, to help with his connections, and for parents to be included. If we are to work with the government in the same manner, it is pointless,” said Yeghishe Zakunts.

Essentially, 8.5 months later, Pashinyan still has nothing to say to the relatives of missing soldiers. During the latest meeting with the parents, he presented the numbers of the missing soldiers and bolted, saying, “I have no time, I am in a hurry.” When one of the parents suggested the idea of creating a commission, Pashinyan proposed to discuss it with his two aides.
