Russian Peacekeepers Ensure Safety of Hay Collectors in Askeran, Russian Defense Ministry

Russian peacekeepers are ensuring the safety of local residents collecting hay in the Askeran region of Nagorno-Karabakh, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

“Safety for agricultural operations is being provided in the Askeran region. There are numerous cultivated fields in the demarcation zone,” said Igor Sergeyev, a representative of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

According to the source, residents of the village of Shosh are collecting hay in these fields for livestock, as well as mowing grass.

Russian sappers have checked agricultural lands for the presence of explosive objects and unexploded ordnance, reports the Russian Defense Ministry.
