Suspect Who Fired Shots at BMW in Yerevan Surrenders to Police
Information was received at the police department regarding the alleged suspect who fired shots at 27-year-old Hovsepy D. in the Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan on May 25. According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of explanatory work conducted by police officers and investigators, 40-year-old Mher A., a resident of Yerevan, voluntarily surrendered to the Shengavit police department on June 21.
Mher A. had been wanted by the Shengavit police department since June 5 under Article 34-104, Part 1 and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. He was detained on the basis of a decision from the investigator since an arrest was chosen as a measure of restraint by the court.
It should be noted that shots were fired in Yerevan on May 25. Around 19:20, the Shengavit medical center alerted the Shengavit police department that a citizen with gunshot wounds had been brought to them. Doctors at the hospital informed the police that the injured individual was unable to provide an explanation of the incident.
Shengavit police quickly established that the victim was identified as 27-year-old Hovsepy D. Police also determined that he had been transported to the hospital from the backyard of building 21 on Bagratuniats 4th alley. In the backyard of the mentioned building, police and investigators discovered a BMW 320i with license plate 13 DD 331, which had bullet holes, and blood-like traces within the vehicle.
