KP Members Led by Hakob Arshakyan Stormed Hayk Mhryan's Office; He Submitted His Resignation Overnight

The newspaper 'Haykakan Zhamanak' reports: 'Hayk Mhryan, head of the Ajapnyak administrative district, has submitted a resignation request. He filed the request late at night on June 21, just one day after the elections, which, according to our information, was confirmed yesterday.

Moreover, searches are currently underway for a new head of the administrative district. We learned that Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has even approached the party to propose a candidate. There are potential candidates at this moment, but no final decision has been made yet.

It is noted that Mhryan's departure is not due to the election results, but rather an incident that took place two days prior, on Friday, at the Ajapnyak mayor's office involving KP members. According to our information, several KP members, led by former minister Hakob Arshakyan, stormed the mayor's office, personally confronting Mhryan and his deputies, accusing them of not working.

Furthermore, they stated that they would deal with them post-elections, but as the saying goes, the week arrived sooner than expected, and just one day after the elections, the heads of administrative districts and their deputies submitted their resignation requests.

We have learned that up until now, Mhryan has had numerous disagreements with the KP and has frequently received directives from the leadership that did not suit him.'
