Extraordinary Incident in Abovyan: Another Vehicle Set on Fire Belonging to 54-Year-Old Man

On June 23, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 05:00 AM, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report through its 911 operational management center about a vehicle burning in the yard of building 36 on Republic Street in Abovyan. According to shamshyan.com from the scene, by the time the firefighters from the Kotayk regional rescue department arrived, citizens had already extinguished the fire that had broken out in a Renault Logan.

Fortunately, there were no casualties reported. An operational group from the Kotayk police department also arrived at the scene. They suspect that the mentioned vehicle, which is operated as a taxi by 54-year-old Ruben Bejanyan, was deliberately set on fire. According to site information, on March 12 of this year, at the same time and in the same neighborhood, Bejanyan's Opel Astra vehicle was also set on fire. In that instance, surveillance cameras captured the act of arson, but the Kotayk police have yet to identify the perpetrator. The police are currently preparing materials regarding both incidents.
