Known Figure Ruben Grdzelyan Fired Random Shots from a Submachine Gun in Yerevan Yesterday
According to the senior investigator of the Central Police Department, Sevan Nazaryan, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 235, Part 1, and Article 258, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. According to the website, the police identified the shooter thanks to the quick actions of the criminal investigation department of Yerevan, the Central Police Department, and the criminal investigation and inquiry department. After conducting explanatory work with the suspect, he presented himself to the police and subsequently handed over the firearms used in the crime.
The suspect is 43-year-old Ruben Grdzelyan, a resident of Yerevan. It is worth recalling that gunfire had been reported in Yerevan on June 21. Around 21:00, a call was received at the police central department indicating that shots had been fired on Aygestan Street, next to John Kirakosyan, close to the well-known Dzerzhinsky School.
Police discovered seven spent cartridges from a submachine gun at the scene. Senior investigator Sevan Nazaryan conducted an examination at the incident site.
