Attempted Murder in Shengavit Revealed

The police have released a statement and video regarding the revelation of an attempted murder: "On the evening of May 25, a 27-year-old resident of Bagratuniats Street in Yerevan was transferred to the 'Shengavit' medical center. He was diagnosed with a gunshot wound.

At 7:30 PM, information about the incident was received at the Shengavit police station. The young man had been brought to the medical facility from Bagratuniats Street. Operational groups from various police subdivisions, including the main department of criminal police, headed to the hospital and the scene of the incident.

The victim's BMW was found in the yard of building 21 on 4th Lane of Bagratuniats Street. There were traces of gunfire on the car. Investigation teams and forensic experts also arrived at the scene to examine the area. No fired cartridges were found.

A hypothesis was presented that shots were fired at the victim's car from another vehicle's interior. This hypothesis was later confirmed through operational and investigative activities. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of various police subdivisions, the identity of the suspect was clarified just hours after the incident. Measures to locate the 40-year-old man residing in Yerevan were initiated. A search warrant was issued for him on June 5.

In parallel with the search efforts, explanatory work was carried out. On June 21, the wanted individual presented himself to the Shengavit police department. The pre-investigation of the criminal case is ongoing, along with efforts to locate the weapon used in the crime."
