Stabbing in Yerevan: Two 23-Year-Olds Hospitalized

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under the first part of Article 112 of the RA Criminal Code at the Shengavit Investigation Division of Yerevan city.

According to shamshyan.com, the case was opened regarding two stabbings that occurred on June 14 in the Shengavit administrative district. On that day, around 8:00 PM, the Shengavit Medical Center reported to the Shengavit Police that they had admitted a citizen diagnosed with "stabbing injuries in the abdominal area." Ten minutes later, the Astghik Medical Center notified the Shengavit Police that they had received a citizen with "cut-puncture wounds of the right thigh."

Investigators and operational groups of the Shengavit Police and Shengavit Investigation Division arrived at the hospitals. They established that the individual admitted to the Shengavit Medical Center was 23-year-old Volodya N. from Aragatsotn Province, while the other victim admitted to Astghik Medical Center was 23-year-old Gagik H. from Yerevan. Doctors informed the police and investigators that the victims were unable to explain what had happened.

Police and investigators determined that the injuries occurred on the same day around 7:40 PM during an argument at the intersection of H. Hovsepian and Manandyan Streets in the Shengavit administrative district.
