Fight in Yerevan Involves Son of Former President Levon Ter-Petrosyan's Brother
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, investigative materials are being prepared in the investigation department of the Yerevan police's Erebuni division based on a report received from the Aramyants Medical Center on June 10. Around 22:20, the medical center informed the police that a citizen had been transferred to them with a diagnosis of a "closed fracture of the lower third of the left fibula without displacement."
Some time later, another report was received from the same medical center, stating that another citizen was transferred with a diagnosis of a "cut wound to the head." As photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports, police have identified that the first injured individual is 24-year-old Melik Meloyan, a resident of Yerevan, while the second is 51-year-old Armen Meloyan, also a Yerevan resident.
According to Erebuni police, based on operational data, it was later established that on the same day, around 17:10, a dispute occurred on 50th Street in Nor Aresh. During this dispute, Armen Meloyan and his son Melik Meloyan exchanged mutual blows with 21-year-old Aram Ter-Petrosyan, a resident of Nor Aresh, and his father, 44-year-old Tigran Ter-Petrosyan, resulting in injuries.
According to Gagik Shamshyan, reports concerning the incident have already been accepted from the individuals involved, and they have been released afterward. An autopsy has been ordered by the investigator. Shamshyan further notes that Melik Meloyan is the director of Transcontact LLC, while Tigran Ter-Petrosyan is the son of Petros Ter-Petrosyan, the brother of Armenia's first president, Levon Ter-Petrosyan.
