Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: Nissan Collides with Trolleybus

Today, June 1, a major traffic accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 08:20, a Nissan vehicle collided with a trolleybus servicing route 10 on Gay Street, then proceeded to hit two pedestrians, and subsequently collided with an Opel and a roadway police service Toyota Corolla.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, three individuals were transported to Hospital No. 1 with injuries. Citizens were the first to provide assistance to the injured, followed by the rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who arrived at the scene promptly. The rescue squad, led by Commander Sargsyan, worked to extract one victim from the trunk of the Opel and another from the vehicle using specialized equipment.

The emergency medical teams from Yerevan 1-03 efficiently provided first aid at the scene before transporting the injured to the hospital. Officers from the second platoon of the first police company of the Road Police arrived promptly under the command of Platoon Commander Armen Sargsyan.

Those present at the scene noted that the wounded were escorted to the hospital by the head of Yerevan's Road Police Khachik Samvelyan and his deputy Andranik Isakhanyan. The operational management center of Yerevan’s Road Police received information about the incident from duty officer Mikayel Agabekyan, who then forwarded it to the Road Traffic Accidents Investigation and Administrative Procedures Division, which dispatched a duty team led by Division Head Grigor Avetisyan, Senior Investigator Gevorg Minasian, and Investigator Haik Petrosyan.

According to a photojournalist on the scene, the Opel, as a result of the collision, continued moving forward and hit another parked car, an Opel Astra. The police are currently investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured.
