Fatal Car Accident in Armavir: 55-Year-Old Driver Crashes Opel into Earth Mound and Overturns
A tragic car accident occurred in the Armavir region on June 2. Around 10:00 PM, 55-year-old Surik Nersisyan, a resident of the Myasnikyan village in Armavir, lost control of his Opel Astra vehicle on the Myasnikyan-Hatsik 1km section, crashed into an earth mound, and overturned, reports shamshyan.com.
Before the rescuers arrived, citizens managed to pull the driver from the vehicle, and he was transported to the Armavir Medical Center.
While senior investigator Narek Hovhannisyan of the same platoon was working at the scene, the hospital reported that the injured individual passed away in the intensive care unit without regaining consciousness.
The traffic police’s operational management center, represented by duty officer Mihran Mirzoian, informed the Armavir regional investigation department of the Armenian Investigative Committee. An investigative team, led by senior investigator Hovhannisyan, was dispatched, and a criminal case was opened under Article 242, Part 2 of the Armenian Criminal Code.
The operational group of the Armavir Police, led by the criminal investigation department, also arrived at the scene.
