Turkey Ready to Support Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia Trilaterals: Erdogan
Turkey considers Georgia as the center of regional cooperation and expresses its willingness to support any trilateral format, including Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia, TASS reports.
“Turkey sees Georgia as the key to regional cooperation. We believe that we can implement various initiatives that will strengthen and increase peace and significance in our region. In this context, the trilateral cooperation with Azerbaijan is very important. We support any trilateral cooperation, whether it is Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia or Georgia-Azerbaijan-Turkey,” President Erdogan said at a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili in Ankara.
The Turkish leader also announced that a decision has been made to hold a high-level strategic council involving Georgia in the near term.
It is noteworthy that the Georgian Prime Minister made a working visit to Turkey on Tuesday.
