Russia's Defense Ministry Engaged in Daily Resolution of the Syunik Conflict
The Russian Ministry of Defense is engaged in daily efforts to resolve the conflict in Syunik. This was reported by the @wargonzo Telegram channel, citing sources close to the leadership of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“Discussions regarding border issues in the Syunik region are taking place at various levels, including between the military departments of Armenia and Azerbaijan. Russia sees itself tasked with resolving the situation in a way that prevents the resumption of large-scale military operations in the region, while also maintaining its status as a peacekeeping country.
The operations of the Russian mission, led by Rustam Muradov (the commander of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh), have proven effective, despite the challenges artificially created by interested players, including foreign forces.
When discussing foreign forces, it is necessary to highlight how Western 'partners' of Armenia are attempting to exploit the emerging controversies. Notably, France and the United States are actively sowing anti-Russian sentiments in Armenian society through their controlled network resources and funds, without undertaking any significant measures to stop the bloodshed during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. Today, Macron makes lofty declarations about the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, all the while not utilizing real instruments of influence on Baku and Ankara (which France, by the way, does possess).
While mini-Napoleon puffs his cheeks, the negotiating team of the Ministry of Defense and personally Muradov are doing everything possible to reach a resolution for this border conflict. As far as we know, Muradov’s mission in Artsakh will not conclude until the issue is resolved.”
