OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Ready to Visit Armenia-Azerbaijan Border
The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Stefan Visconti (France), and Andrew Shaffer (USA) are expected to reach an agreement on the possibility of visiting the Armenia-Azerbaijan border soon. This was stated by the Russian representative at the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, during a press meeting, as reported by TASS.
“It is very important that the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are able to visit the region in the near future to assess the situation on the ground and speak to the parties involved,” he said. “I believe such opportunities may open up very soon.”
“Additionally, of course, the entry of international humanitarian organizations to assist the population is a pressing issue. There are also many organizational details that the parties interpret differently,” Lukashevich added.
