Police in Vagharshapat Uncover Illegal Drug Trafficking Case

The police continue their persistent fight against drug use and illegal drug trafficking.

According to the police, on May 26, officers from the Vagharshapat division uncovered a new case. Criminal investigators acted on operational information and detained a 43-year-old man, previously convicted, on suspicion of possessing and using drugs from Andranik Street in the city of Ejmiadzin.

A personal search revealed two foil packages containing crystalline white substances. According to the detainee, the discovered items are drugs he is keeping for personal use. A forensic examination has been ordered, and further circumstances are being clarified. Materials are being prepared on the case.
