Video: Attempted Murder Early in the Morning; Stabber Lived with the Woman in the Same Apartment

On May 24, at 7 a.m., the police department in Artashat received a report of a stabbing occurring in an apartment on Yerevanyan Street in Artashat. A response team was dispatched to the location to verify the information.

According to the police, just 15 minutes later, a report was received from the hospital indicating that a 67-year-old woman had been taken to medical care with multiple stab wounds from the aforementioned address. A group from the police department also headed to the hospital, but they could not ascertain much; according to the doctor's report, the woman was unable to provide a statement.

As law enforcement undertook measures, operational information revealed that around 6:30 a.m., during a domestic dispute, a 27-year-old male relative living in the same apartment stabbed the woman with a kitchen knife. Approximately half an hour after the second call, the young man was apprehended, confessed to the act, and was arrested. The knife used in the crime has been found.

A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of attempted murder and has been forwarded to the Ararat regional investigative department.
