Azerbaijani Soldiers Invade Armenian Territory; Ministry of Defense Reports Armenian Fire

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has announced that from May 24-26, periodic gunfire was reportedly directed towards the positions in Karvachar and Getabek from Armenian territory.

It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claimed that there had been no gunfire along the border with Armenia.

Meanwhile, on May 25, at approximately 14:20, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported an incident involving the use of firearms in the border area of Verin Shorzha in the Gegharkunik region of the Republic of Armenia.

As a result of the gunfire exchange that ensued following a barrage of fire from the enemy, contract serviceman Junior Sergeant V. Y. Khurshudyan (born 1989) sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
