"There Are Significant Risks of New Aggression": Tigran Abrahamyan
It appears that the political leadership of the country has not delegated the issue of national defense to the armed forces, which indicates that there are quite significant risks of new aggression in the future. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, director of the "Hanaket" analytical center, on his Facebook page.
"In the context of the situation created at the state border of Armenia in the last ten days, no matter how we analyze this situation in terms of context, logic, and processes, the fundamental issue is the lack of protection at the border and the absence of timely necessary measures. Regardless of the fact that this has a causal relationship with the 2020 war and its consequences, it should also be noted that the recent crisis would not have occurred, or would not have taken on such a nature, if appropriate work and services had been conducted at the border. It turns out that the political leadership of the country has not delegated the issue of national defense to the armed forces, which means there are quite significant risks of new aggression in the future," he wrote.
