What Consequences Will the Handing Over of Tigranashen to Azerbaijan Have?
The former head of the Constitutional Court staff, Edgar Ghazaryan, has released a video detailing the current situation.
“What consequences will the handing over of Tigranashen to Azerbaijan have? I am on the Yerevan-Vayots Dzor road, and I have deliberately stopped for a moment on the summit above the village of Tigranashen so that citizens can see where Tigranashen village is located and in what section. This road is part of the Yerevan-Vayots Dzor-Syunik-Artsakh-Meghri interstate highway, which, due to the alleged secret negotiations between the two leaders, Aliyev and Pashinyan, poses risks that the road may end up in Azerbaijan and revert to Azerbaijani territory. This is because, during the Soviet era, for some reason, this enclave was created as an annex to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, but this territory is enshrined as part of the Republic of Armenia’s territory according to the RA Constitution. What will happen if we allow the capitulationist to once again hand over our homeland to the enemy as part of his plan? If he decides to give away this very symbolic 800-hectare territory to Azerbaijan, it will result in us no longer having the ability to travel through this territory and along this interstate road, or we will be required to obtain a multiple-entry visa to Azerbaijan,” he stated.
