Hrant Bagratyan to Pashinyan: 'You'd Be a Laughingstock with Your Russian; Speak Armenian If You Don't Know Russian'

The former Prime Minister of Armenia, Hrant Bagratyan, criticized current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for his performance in Russian, stating that he had become a subject of laughter because of his language skills. In a post on his Facebook page, he wrote, 'Yesterday we witnessed Nikol’s and the CSTO leaders’ “conversation.” Our uneducated leader, who does not know the language, was explaining some things and became a laughingstock with his Russian. Couldn’t he have learned the name of the leader of Kazakhstan before the video call? Or if you don’t speak Russian, speak Armenian and let them translate.'

'With your pathetic vocabulary, you always repeat the same things. Now onto something more important. For the umpteenth time, you attend the meeting unprepared. Do you know that there was a ceasefire in Bishkek in 1994 (have you read about it)? That even back then there was an exchange of enclaves? Are you able to announce this?' he added.
