Syunik Region Governor's Representative Shares Details on Visit to Khoznavar Village

Syunik Regional Governor Melikset Poghosyan, along with Robert Ghukasyan, the leader of the inter-agency working group established by the Armenian government for Syunik issues, and other members of the group, visited the village of Khoznavar in the Teghe community, where an incident had occurred between Armenian and Azerbaijani servicemen the day before. They met with residents and listened to their concerns.

In an interview with Armenpress, Edgar Martirosyan, the chief secretary of the Syunik regional administration, stated that sectoral officials spoke with the residents, tried to understand the situation on the spot, and addressed the pressing issues concerning both the security environment and infrastructure.

“An inter-agency meeting was held in the village of Khndzoresk, where issues related to the Teghe community, particularly those concerning the village of Khoznavar, were discussed,” said Martirosyan.

When asked whether there is a sense of panic among the residents, Martirosyan replied that in his assessment there is some anxiety, but the sentiments are not panic-stricken.

The chief secretary of the Syunik regional administration also spoke about future steps, noting that similar visits will occur regularly to Khoznavar. “Visits at the level of the governor and the regional administration are quite frequent, as well as by Robert Ghukasyan, the head of the inter-agency working group established by the Armenian government for Syunik issues,” said Martirosyan.
