Secretary of the Security Council Outlines Armenia's Actions if Diplomatic Solutions Fail
The armed forces of Azerbaijan must withdraw from the sovereign territory of Armenia; this is not only our position but also that of the international community, and extensive actions are being undertaken in this direction. This was stated by Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan during a session of the National Assembly.
He noted that if diplomatic and political means do not resolve this issue, the Republic of Armenia reserves the right to implement other mechanisms to address the situation.
“The public is fully aware of the processes taking place; we understand that certain circles are not pleased with the potential success, and people might be in a state of confusion regarding the opportunity we have to resolve this issue through diplomatic means. Our assessment is that these actions are aimed at posing a challenge and creating a threat in advance of the upcoming elections in the Republic of Armenia. The greater the possibility of a peaceful resolution, the more attempts will be made to undermine that process,” he stated.
Armen Grigoryan emphasized that time is needed to solve these problems and wished everyone prudence and sound judgment to ultimately resolve the issue. He assured that their actions are transparent.
