Another Phone Call Between the Defense Ministers of Russia and Armenia

The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, has held a phone conversation with the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan.

According to a report from RIA Novosti referencing the Russian Ministry of Defense's statement, the sides discussed the activities of peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh and the prevailing situation in the region.

"On May 20, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoigu, had a phone conversation with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan. Current issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the regions where Russian peacekeeping forces are deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed," the statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

It is noteworthy that the ministers had a phone conversation on the evening of May 19 as well, where they also addressed the situation in Artsakh.
