Alik Sargsyan Managed to Leave Armenia
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "The Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia has allowed Alik Sargsyan, a former police chief and a suspect in the March 1 case, to leave the Republic of Armenia. According to our sources, Sargsyan has approached the SIS, stating that he has serious health issues and needs to go to the Russian Federation for further treatment.
The SIS reviewed the former police chief's application, approved it, and allowed Sargsyan's 'signature not to leave' condition to be lifted, enabling him to depart for Russia. He is currently in the Russian Federation and is dealing with health issues.
It is noteworthy that Alik Sargsyan is charged with three counts related to the March 1 case: abusing official powers, committing official forgery, and concealing a crime. A restriction measure imposed on the former police chief is a signature not to leave. Sargsyan does not accept the charges brought against him.
