Azerbaijan's Inappropriate Response by Armenia May Lead to Increased Tensions in the Region: Aliyev to Sullivan
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, confirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the region during a conversation with Jake Sullivan, the U.S. President's National Security Advisor.
The country’s leader agreed with Sullivan’s view on the necessity to initiate negotiations regarding borders and emphasized that it is crucial to conduct this process in accordance with the statements related to Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Armenia's inappropriate response and attempts to internationalize this issue may lead to increased tensions in the region,” he noted, stressing the importance of peaceful resolution of all conflict situations within the framework of the negotiation process.
