Azerbaijan Will Face Serious Consequences for Its Malicious Actions: Robert Menendez

Robert Menendez, the chairman of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has stated that the violation of Armenia's sovereign territory by Azerbaijani forces is a dangerous manifestation of aggression, highlighting the constant threat faced by the Armenian people. Menendez's statement was published on the official U.S. Senate website.

“After my conversation today with the ambassador of Armenia to the United States, it became clear that the United States and the international community as a whole must respond to this invasion so that Azerbaijan understands it will face serious consequences for its malicious actions. I urge the Biden administration to engage at the highest level to make it clear that Azerbaijan must respect Armenia’s sovereignty and that further threats and aggression are unacceptable,” Menendez stated.

It is worth noting that on May 12, reports circulated in the media and on social networks indicating that the enemy had initiated combat operations near the village of Ishkhanasar in the Syunik region.
