No extraordinary events occurred, they are merely negotiating with each other – Sanosyan

There are places where the climatic conditions and the terrain are very complex, and in certain areas, the opponent had not carried out any deployment process; now, with the change in weather conditions, they are conducting their deployment processes. Our armed forces are also monitoring to ensure they do not advance from their deployment areas, as the terrain is difficult, making it challenging to determine the border. This was stated by Gegharkunik Governor Genal Sanosyan during a meeting with journalists.

“The state border of Armenia has been maintained; there were one or two sections along the slope where our forces insisted they should sit further inside, which was resolved over time. I visited Verin Shorja yesterday, where those works are taking place, and our armed forces are active; there are maps, and this is the same process that existed during November-December,” he noted.

When asked if he could assure residents that the situation is secure and there is no tension or aggression, Sanosyan responded, “Residents have seen that the situation is calm. There were many residents with us yesterday, and nothing extraordinary has occurred; they are merely negotiating with each other to clarify the border.”

In response to a question about the situation at the Sotk gold mine, whether the mine is operational, and if there have been layoffs among employees, Sanosyan stated that the mine is operating, although there has been a reduction of about 280 workers.
