Azerbaijani Armed Forces Attempt Position Advancement in Vardenis and Sisian Border Areas, MoD

On May 13, Azerbaijani armed forces have once again conducted provocations against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia under the pretext of "border demarcation," attempting to ensure positional advancement in the border areas of Vardenis and Sisian. In both cases, advancements were halted by the actions of the RA armed forces, and a demand was made for the Azerbaijani side to immediately leave the area and return to their original positions. This was reported by the RA Ministry of Defense.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia comments that these actions undertaken by Azerbaijan since May 12 are a blatant provocation and, to avoid unpredictable developments, calls upon the Azerbaijani armed forces to immediately return to their original positions and refrain from encroachments on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
