Official Response of the Ministry of Defense on Azerbaijani Actions in Syunik

On the early morning of May 12, Azerbaijani forces attempted to carry out certain activities in one of the border areas of Syunik under the pretext of "border demarcation." Following measures taken by Armenian units, Azerbaijani military personnel ceased these activities. Currently, negotiations are ongoing to resolve the created situation.

Reports circulating in the media about "fighting in the direction of Ishkhanasar" do not correspond to reality. In such developments, the Ministry of Defense would be the first to issue a statement. We urge everyone to refrain from publishing unverified, especially panic-inducing information.
