Currently, I cannot provide any information regarding the gunfire; the opponent has troop build-ups: Goris Deputy Mayor
Currently, I cannot provide any information regarding the gunfire. This was stated by Goris Deputy Mayor Menua Hovsepyan in an interview with AURORANEWS, commenting on reports that there have been gunshots in Goris.
According to him, the enemy has crossed the state border in the Ishkhanasar area and has advanced another three kilometers towards the Verishen settlement. Hovsepyan noted that the opponent currently has a significant number of troop build-ups.
It is worth reminding that it was recently reported that in the Ishkhanasar area, the enemy has crossed the state border and advanced three kilometers towards the Verishen settlement, positioning themselves in hundreds. This was noted by Goris Deputy Mayor Irina Yolyan on her Facebook page.
“Currently, negotiations are underway. They have advanced kilometers from the Black Lake area and have halted their movement. If 30% of the Black Lake territory was under control of the enemy, they feel so entitled that they have decided to reach the settlement and advance further as in the case of Shurnukh. I don’t know who may deny this, but listen to the alarm of Syunik residents; we will all bear the consequences if we continue this dangerous indifference,” wrote Irina Yolyan.
Later, the deputy mayor wrote on her Facebook page: “As we predicted, our enemy, the Turk, has advanced into the Black Lake area and is trying to establish a presence there. I should mention that most of the Black Lake belongs to us, even according to the Aliyev-Nikol maps. The artificial reservoir in the Black Lake area provides irrigation water to the community; by the way, the pipeline of the reservoir goes through territories claimed by the Turk. Instead of spreading loud and false declarations from the parliamentary podium, it would be better to listen to the issues we have been raising for months and feel some shame...”
