CSTO Vigilantly Monitoring Developments in Syunik Province

CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas had a telephone conversation today with Acting Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Aivazyan. The discussion centered on the incident that occurred at the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, as reported to the CSTO by Armenia's permanent representative at the organization, Viktor Biagov. According to the official CSTO website, the organization is closely monitoring the ongoing situation in Syunik Province, Armenia.

If necessary and in accordance with the developments, the CSTO will take measures as per the provisions of the Collective Security Treaty and the CSTO Charter.
