It was initially determined that the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides would negotiate in Khndzoresk, as it is easier to reach. This was stated by Menua Hovsepian, the Deputy Mayor of Goris, in a conversation with 24News, commenting on reports circulating in the media that Azerbaijanis refused to negotiate in the area of Lake Sevan, did not attend the meeting, and changed the location and time, appointing a new site within the Khndzoresk community.

It is noteworthy that on May 12, reports had circulated in the media and social networks that the enemy had begun military operations near the village of Ishkhanasar in the Syunik region.
