Yerevan Municipality Clarifies Issues Related to Public Transport Operations

The Yerevan Municipality has commented on the reports regarding issues related to public transport operations in the Nor Nork administrative district of Yerevan.

In a conversation with Armenpress, the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, Hakob Karapetyan, stated that issues have arisen with the fuel supplier of Yerevan Bus LLC, which the municipality is attempting to resolve as quickly as possible. “It is a technical issue. Problems have emerged with the fuel supplier of Yerevan Bus LLC. We will provide additional clarification. We are trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” said Karapetyan, adding that the operation of some routes has partially been restored.

He also indicated that there are issues with the normal operation of public transport not only in the Nor Nork administrative district.

When addressing reports that drivers of certain routes are staging protests, Karapetyan noted that he has no information regarding this, reiterating that it is solely a matter of fuel supply, which the municipality aims to regulate as soon as possible.
