Video: Batteries Stolen from Hail Protection Stations in 9 Villages
Especially during this season, the uninterrupted operation of hail protection stations is crucial for the development of agriculture. It appears that while some recognize this importance, for others, personal gain takes precedence over everything.
The Armavir police department received a report that between March and April, 7 batteries were stolen from hail protection stations in the villages of Erazkahun, Vardanashen, Argavand, and Margara, causing damage amounting to 240,000 drams to the organization.
As a result of the professional work of the criminal investigators, information was obtained that the thefts may have been committed by a 27-year-old resident of Vazgen Sargsyan Street in the city of Ejmiatsin. He was detained by the Armavir police department from the Zvartnots district of Ejmiatsin and provided a confession.
It has been revealed that he also stole batteries from hail protection stations in the villages of Sardarapat, Aravik, Alashkert, Mrgashat, and Arazap in the Armavir region. Some of the stolen items have been partially recovered.
The criminal case has been forwarded to the Armavir investigative department.
