Photo: A Phenomenon Known as 'Gallo' Observed in Various Locations in Armenia

Today, a phenomenon known as 'gallo' has been observed in various locations across the Republic, including Yerevan. This was reported by Gagik Surenyan, the deputy director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, on his Facebook page.

It is noteworthy that a gallo is a bright, colored halo, a spot that can be seen around the sun or the moon, caused by the refraction or reflection of light within ice crystals in high-altitude clouds.
