Friends of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Other Officials' Wives in One Agency

The close relatives of officials from the Ministry of Economy have been hired at an agency operating under the ministry. According to "Hetq," particularly the relatives and friends of Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan have been appointed to various positions at the "Center for Agricultural Services" agency.

By a government decision from 2020, the "Agrochemical Service" agency was renamed the "Center for Agricultural Services." The agency has been reported to have 44 positions, with 2 currently vacant.

We present the list of employees of the agency who are connected to Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan and other officials from the Ministry of Economy. Tigran Gabrielyan has been one of the deputy ministers coordinating the agriculture sector since 2018. When the Minister of Agriculture was Gegham Gevorgyan, the current head of the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition, Gabrielyan was appointed his deputy on November 7, 2018. Later, the Ministry of Agriculture was merged with the Ministry of Economy, and Tigran Gabrielyan took up the position of Deputy Minister of Economy.

The deputy minister's wife also works at the "Republican Veterinary and Phytosanitary Laboratory Services Center" operating under the Food Safety Inspection Body, where she has held the position of chief specialist since 2013.

Annman Ginosyan has been appointed as the lawyer for the "Center for Agricultural Services" since April 3, 2020. Annman Ginosyan is the aunt of Tigran Gabrielyan's wife, Gohar Ginosyan. This fact has been confirmed by Tigran Gabrielyan in his written response to our inquiry, stating, "Yes, Annman Ginosyan is my wife's aunt."

Zohrap Minasyan has held the position of chief specialist in the department responsible for the registration and counting of agricultural animals since November 13, 2020. Zohrap Minasyan's friendship with Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan dates back to their student years. The deputy minister confirms their connection, noting that Minasyan was among his classmates, alongside 120 other students, many of whom work in various sectors related to agriculture. Regarding Zohrap Minasyan's field of work, it should be noted that despite government funding for the registration and counting of large cattle, significant steps have yet to be taken.

According to our sources, Seyran Margaryan is a childhood friend of Deputy Minister Tigran Gabrielyan. He has been the head of the economic department at the "Center for Agricultural Services" since April 6, 2020. However, Tigran Gabrielyan does not acknowledge their friendship, insisting that he knows Margaryan as an employee of the agency.
