The Case of the Leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party is Not Closed and Will Be Long Under Review: Chief Prosecutor
The case of the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, is not closed and will be under review for a long time. This was stated by the head of the Prosecutor's Office, Artur Davtyan, during the discussion of the annual report on the work of the Prosecutor's Office in 2020 at the National Assembly.
He specifically denied reports that Tsarukyan's case had been closed.
"This case continues to be investigated because it involves criminal schemes involving thousands of people. Therefore, for understandable reasons, it will be under review for a long time," Davtyan explained.
It is noteworthy that Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party and one of the largest businessmen in the republic, is accused of tax evasion of particularly large amounts, bribing voters, and illegally appropriating large parcels of land.
