Summer Draft in Armenia to Run from May 7 to July 31

The summer draft in the Republic of Armenia will take place from May 7 to July 31, inclusive. This was announced in the draft decision included in the agenda of the government meeting on May 6.

"To announce the summer draft of mandatory military and alternative service for male citizens of the Republic of Armenia from May 7 to July 31, 2021, inclusive, for those who turn 18 years old by June 30, 2021, inclusive, as well as for citizens whose previously granted deferment from mandatory military service expires by June 30, 2021, inclusive," the decision states.

The same decision includes provisions for discharging servicemen who have completed their mandatory military or alternative military service by July 31, 2021, inclusive, within the legally established time frame.
