Gunfire Resembles Action Movie in Ejmiatsin: One Fatality

On May 4, gunfire was reported in the Armavir region. Between 22:00 and 22:10, the police station in Vagharshapat received a call stating that shots had been fired on Vazgen I Street in the city of Ejmiatsin.

According to reports from the scene, Karen Hakobyan, head of the Armavir regional police, and Raphael Poghosyan, head of the Vagharshapat police department, arrived promptly.

Authorities established that a young man's body had been taken with gunshot wounds to the Vagharshapat Medical Center. Police and investigators found over 30 spent cartridges from a submachine gun at the scene. Additionally, about 200 meters away from the site of the gunfire, they discovered a damaged Hyundai Elantra with visible bullet marks, as well as another vehicle, a Ford Transit, which was parked in front of a citizen's home and also sustained damage from the gunfire.

The police and investigative department are working to determine the identity of the deceased.
