58-Year-Old Driver Dies Suddenly While Driving Nissan X-Trail and Crashes into Hazelnut Tree

On May 4th, a tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 20:40, 58-year-old Hovhannes Yaragyan, a resident of the village of Jrashen in Armavir, lost control of his Nissan X-Trail while driving on the central street of the village of Bambakashat and crashed into a hazelnut tree.

According to reports from shamshyan.com, the driver was found dead at the scene, while a passenger sustained injuries and was transported to the "Armavir" medical center.

A number of citizens who gathered at the scene, but declined to speak on camera, mentioned that the injured person was the driver’s wife. Villagers were the first to assist her, and while she was being transported to the hospital, she said, "My husband said while driving, 'I am scared, my heart is scared.' He probably had a heart-related issue, and all I remember is that he leaned forward and hit the tree. I don't recall anything else." We also helped the woman get to the hospital.

Following the incident, investigator S. Khachatryan announced that materials are being prepared for further investigation. Several forensic examinations have been scheduled, including an autopsy. By order of the investigator, the vehicle has been moved to the special storage area of the Armavir police department. The police and the investigative department are working to identify the injured party.
