Injured Storks Transferred to Rehabilitation Center
In the Ararat region, injured storks have been transferred to a rehabilitation center. This was reported by the Environmental and Food Safety Inspection Body.
The statement includes: "On April 28 of this year, information about two injured storks was circulated in the Facebook group 'Armenian Birdwatching Association.' We inform you that the employees of the Biodiversity Control Department of the Environmental and Food Safety Inspection Body and the Ararat Territorial Division promptly traveled to the Mkhchyan community in the Ararat region of Armenia and transported the injured birds to Yerevan for treatment, care, rehabilitation, and quarantine at the 'Zoo Fauna Art' rehabilitation center.
According to the center’s specialists, the injuries to the storks were caused by gunfire. The materials being prepared will be sent to law enforcement authorities.
